Plan Your Gifts for the Greatest Impact

When Helen Coley Nauts founded the Cancer Research Institute over half a century ago, she envisioned carrying forward the pioneering work her father, Dr. William Coley, had done concerning the non-surgical treatment of cancer during his career. Today CRI is advancing a new class of cancer therapies that mobilize, strengthen, and sustain the immune system’s inherent ability to treat, control, and prevent cancer. Through support and coordination of laboratory and clinical research efforts worldwide, CRI is helping to bring this new class of treatment, called cancer immunotherapy, to more patients sooner.
As many of our donors have discovered, there are ways to support CRI both now and in the future. In fact, the way you choose to make your gifts can affect the amount you give. By carefully selecting the best form and timing for your gifts, you may actually be able to give more at the same after-tax cost.
On the following pages you will find some ideas for making gifts to CRI that feature the opportunity to:
  • Increase your income from low-yielding assets in retirement years
  • Supplement the income of a parent, sibling, or other loved one
  • Make educational funds available to children, grandchildren, or others in tax-favored ways
  • Make charitable gifts using retirement fund assets that may otherwise be substantially depleted by income and estate taxes that may be due
  • Create a memorial to honor the memory of a loved one or other special person
Including CRI in your overall estate and financial plans can be a simple process. Read on for ideas to enhance your plans in ways that benefit you and your loved ones while helping to fulfill Helen Coley Nauts’ vision of a world without cancer.
